A group of local entertainers collaborated to perform John Lennon's Imagine.
Francios Malan along with a few familiar faces were inspired by a video posted by Gal Gadot earlier this month.
Gadot performed John Lennon's Imagine with a few of her Hollywood friends.
Locally, Malan along with performers such as Gino Fabri, Niqui Cloete-Barrass, James Smith and Nangamso Mtyingizane collaborated to recreate the video.
Malan had the following to say about the video that was posted, "the idea was to portray that even in isolation we can stand together. Hence why I asked all the performers to send me raw cellphone footage. The objective was to raise spirits. People are going through tough times and if the musicians, who are some of the most affected people can show you what they're capable of, then the country should be fine."
The video was posted by Malan with the following message:
"Some of my singer / songwriter / musician / performer / entertainer friends and I got together (digitally) to also do a rendition of this John Lennon classic for no other reason than to lift the spirits of our local community , and those around the world, in these trying and uncertain times. Imagine that ?"
