Liam Payne signs a solo deal

Do you hear that sound. It's the sound that's greater than the news of Liam Payne signing a solo deal. It's the sound of One Direction fans hashtaging that the party is over.

Just two days before the 6th anniversary of One Direction being a band, Liam Payne annouced his solo deal with Capitol Records.

In 2015 the group declared that they were going on a hiatus from March 2016 to pursue solo careers. So far, Payne has a solo music deal, Style we know has a role in the Christopher Nolan film, Dunkirk, Louis is a judge on America's Got Talent and Niall has Twitter in a tizzy over Celine Helene.

Is it a hiatus or a break up? We don't know. We do know that the Backstreet Boys still tour every now and again and that Nsync is never getting back together. We also know that with time 1D fans will forget that they loved the band and eventually they will reminisce about the time when 1D was life.
