The 94th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting took place on Thursday night, on the Ellipse at the White House.
President Obama was joined by first lady Michelle and their youngest daughter Sasha.
Actress Eva Longoria gave an introduction, followed by a performance from Kelly Clarkson.
President Obama lit the National Christmas Tree - which stood tall embellished with lights, stars and sugar plum ornaments - wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, for the last time.
The event continued with more performances by Chance The Rapper, James Taylor, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, The Lumineers and Yolanda Adams.
