Lady Gaga cancels performances on U.K. TV shows

Lady Gaga has pulled out of performances on The X Factor UK and The Graham Norton Show due to undisclosed reasons. The Born This Way hitmaker was scheduled to sing on The X Factor UK on Sunday (16Oct16), but she reportedly axed her appearance and she was replaced by OneRepublic. She was also slated to appear on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (21Oct16), the same day her fifth studio album, Joanne, will be released, but she is no longer going to be part of the show.

"I have no idea why she's pulled out but she's definitely no longer coming," Norton told The Daily Star. "Lady Gaga had been scheduled to come to London this week to promote her new album Joanne but she cancelled all her appearances," a source added. Joanne is the 30-year-old's first album since the release of her collaborative record with Tony Bennett, Cheek to Cheek, in 2014, and she recently opened up about the inspiration behind her new single, Perfect Illusion, insisting it is not about her failed relationship with ex-fiance Taylor Kinney.

"I love Taylor so, so much and this song is not a hit out against Taylor," she told SiriusXM host Andy Cohen last month (Sep16). "This song is just about... I'm sure not only feelings that I've had but that he's had, that my friends have had, my sister has in her relationship... it's a record about all of us. And I would never use my song or want to use the public to hurt anyone that I love so much."She also explained that she wrote the music to reflect how she is currently feeling.

"I would just say that my music on my album, as well as all my albums, is inspired by my personal life," she told E! News. Gaga and Taylor split in July (16).The pop star, who was recently confirmed as the 2017 Super Bowl Half-Time Show headliner, has been promoting her new album in America by playing a series of small bars.
