Kim Kardashian West is the first recipient to be chosen for the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Inaugural Influencer Award.
The honour is being bestowed on the fashion and beauty mogul for a number of reasons. The CFDA noted that Kim has a large following on social media, runs her beauty and fashions brands, including KKW Beauty, KKW fragnance, Kids Supply with her husband Kanye West and more.
CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg said in a press release, “Over the past decade, Kim Kardashian West has mastered the meaning of influence in the digital age”.
In addition to being a wife, mom of three and businesswoman, Kim continues to work on various fashion campaigns.
The CFDA ceremony takes place at the Brooklyn Museum on 4 June.
