Hip-hop star Kid Cudi has called out rappers such as Kanye West and Drake as "fake" artists who "won't be lasting too much longer".The Day 'n' Nite star went on an unlikely Twitter rant on Wednesday (14Sep16), by going off on those who are betting against his success, writing, "I keep silent because I dont ever wanna come off like some angry hater, but today, not only do I feel fantastic, Im feelin like taking over... I already have (sic)."Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, continued by calling out musicians who don't write their own tracks, adding, "I need yall to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know Im bout to crush their entire existance (sic). Everyone thinks they're soooo great.
Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them."Let me tell you something The days of the f**kery are over. The fake ones wont be lasting too much longer. Im the one they worry about cause they know I dont give a f**k about the corny s**t they do."He went on to heap praise on peers including A$AP Rocky, his A$AP Mob crew and Travis Scott, but added he also pays attention to all the "jealous chicken hearted s**ts" as well. When followers began to question who Cudi was referring to, the star wrote, "My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye (Kanye), Drake, whoever. These n**gas dont give a f**k about me. And they aint f**kin with me. N**gas keep you close when they see how powerful you are by yourself. When they see your greatness. Out of fear.
I've been loyal to those who haven't been to me and that ends now. Now im your threat."Cudi concluded, "Anybody got a issue with my words im glad. If you feel me, dont be scared to use your voice. I was for so long out of blind loyalty. From here Ill let the music speak. As you were, peace and love to my supporters and true ones."The rapper's rant revives the controversy that Drake uses a ghostwriter for some of his songs, while his harsh words for West reignites their fraught issues from the past.Cudi was previously signed to West's G.O.O.D. music label and his first major music breakthrough came when he was featured on West's 808s & Heartbreak record in 2008. However, Kid left the G.O.O.D. label in 2013 on reportedly amicable terms, despite the fact he admitted he was left frustrated when Kanye used Cudi's old vocals for a new track on his Yeezus album.Cudi is even featured on West's latest effort, The Life of Pablo, on a track titled Father Stretch My Hands.
