In an interview with Drum magazine post the release of his documentary, 'Picking up the Pieces: The Khuli Chana Story', Chana described his partner, Asanda as his pillar of strength. She supported him through the terrifying incident and case he has against the police after an incident of mistaken identity.
Chana sat down with Anele Mdoda on her talk show 'Real Talk' and opened up about his relationship with Asanda. He had the following to say about his life partner Asanda and their thoughts on marriage:
"It's something we aspire... I know it's a dream, and I know we'll get there someday."
