Local celebrity Khanya Mbau has taken to Twitter to express her disappointment in the voice of Beyoncé as Nala in Disney’s remake of The Lion King.
The Lion King is the talk of the entertainment world right now with the London premiere having just screened to an audience that included the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as well as Beyoncé and her beau, Jay Z.
However, reaction has been mixed as far as reviews are concerned. A quick scan of several critiques reveals that the main gripe is that while visually spectacular as far as realism is concerned, it lacks Disney magic.
The Lion King opens across cinemas in South Africa on the 19th July.
