We all know Katey Perry for her inspirational songs such as Firework, Roar and more recently, Rise. The lyrics are often quoted and praised on the interwebs by many who have found it inspirational during difficult times.
It is no different with Pulse Nightclub survivor, Tony Marrero, who states that the song 'Rise' helped him deal with the pain and sadness post the tragic event. The ever popular and influential, Ellen Degeneres invited Marrero onto her show not only to share his story, but also to surprise him by introducing him to the 'Rise' singer herself, Kay Perry. This was only part of the surprise because Katy had a surprise of her own.
