Kate Hudson gave birth to a healthy baby girl with her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa on 2 October 2018.
Hudson shared the news on Instagram with the following post.
She named her daughter Rani Rose Hudson-Fujikawa and revealed that the name is inspired by Rani's grandfather, "We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie), after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa," Hudson explains.
"Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour."
She added, "Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back."
Who is Danny Fujikawa?
Kate has known Danny for over 15 years. He is her best friend's stepbrother and she has known his family forever. To that Kate adds, “To have that connection is really powerful.”
