Justin Theroux feels "terrible" for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's children following the couple's split. The Salt star filed for divorce from Brad last week (ends23Sep16), citing irreconcilable differences, and Theroux's wife Jennifer Aniston suddenly became a person of interest in the story because she was married to the actor when he met Jolie on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Aniston and Pitt divorced in 2005 shortly before he and Angelina became an item, confirming their relationship in April, 2005. They dated for almost a decade before exchanging vows in France in 2014. Jennifer went on to date actor Vince Vaughn and singer John Mayer after her split from Brad, and she wed Justin last year (15).The 47-year-old has not commented on her ex-husband's split, but Theroux was recently asked about the drama while promoting his new film The Girl on a Train, and although he insisted it is "boring" to comment on the breakup news, he admitted to feeling bad for Brad and Angelina's six children, because he knows what it feels like to come from a broken home.
"As a child of divorce all I can say is that's terrible news for those children and that's all you can really say," he tells Business Insider. "It's boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time, that's horrible."And the fact his wife has been dragged into the drama - because she was once married to Brad - is "nonsense" to the actor."There's an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don't have that appetite," he says. "But I think a lot of people do because people buy it. But there are bigger things to b**ch about. It's shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world."
