Justin Bieber asks concertgoers to stop their 'obnoxious' screaming

Justin Bieber pleaded with fans to stop their "obnoxious" screaming at his concert in Birmingham, England on Monday night (17Oct16).The 22-year-old singer is currently in the middle of his Purpose World Tour, and took to the stage at the Barclaycard Arena in the city, where thousands of devoted fans crowded in to catch a glimpse of their idol. However, Justin appeared to be struggling to cope with the cacophony of screams coming from the audience during the evening.

Footage recorded at the concert shows Justin asking the crowd: "Can you guys do me a favour? Can you guys just relax for like two seconds?" Justin added that while he appreciates "all the love", "the screaming is just so obnoxious", before asking his fans to scream after he has performed his songs instead. "And then take a chill pill for a second and just listen to me speak," he continued.

"I don?t feel like I?m being heard sometimes and it gets a little frustrating. So if when I?m speaking you guys could not scream at the top of your lungs, is that cool with you guys? Can we do that?" But Justin's pleas went unheard and his fans continued to bellow their appreciation for the singer at the top of their lungs. Several audience members were put out by Justin's request, with fan Amanda Boland telling the Birmingham Mail she felt he was being "disrespectful to his fans" by asking them to cease their screaming.

"Not so much us, more so the young girls who queued for a long time to be at the front," she told the publication. "We recorded the fans screaming because we didn't think we'd heard anything quite as loud at a concert before... and what we ended up recording, to our surprise, was Bieber complaining because his fans were 'like two feet away', and they just 'needed to find another way to express themselves!'"

However, others insisted on social media that Justin wasn't being rude, he was just trying to perform to the best of his ability for those who had paid to go and see him in concert. Later in the show, Love Yourself singer Justin thanked the crowd for their ongoing support, saying: "I've been on tour for a while now, away from my friends and away from my family... That's tough sometimes. But I adore all you beautiful people who keep me company."
