JOOX’s ‘#Gig2Earn’ initiative brings audiences a Big LIVE concert starring Kwesta, 22nd May at 20h00

South African rapper Kwesta

Earlier this month, JOOX announced the ‘Big LIVE’ in-app music-streaming concert series as part of the growing #Gig2Earn initiative. ‘Big LIVE’ brings massive names in the music industry to the JOOX app in order to create awareness around the #Gig2Earn initiative’s goals. #Gig2Earn was started to empower artists struggling under the lockdown measures by providing them with crucial financial support, and a platform where they can interact with their fans.

The first ‘Big LIVE’ concert featured hip-hop star, Cassper Nyovest, who was followed by Afrikaans pop icon, Demi Lee Moore. This week JOOX presents Kwesta, SA’s ever-popular local rapper who made massive waves with his hit song ‘I Came, I Saw’ featuring the legendary Rick Ross.

Kwesta will headline the LIVE performance slots this Friday, 22nd May, at 8pm, but a number of exciting supporting acts will be available from 6pm. All appearances will be free of charge to watch for all JOOX users, regardless of subscription status, as are all the other artist appearances in the ‘#Gig2Earn’ initiative.

Viewers watching at home who would like to contribute to ‘#Gig2Earn’ can do so by using the custom-made ‘tip jar’ in the JOOX app - just keep an eye out for it on the Discover page in-app this week. This ‘tip jar’ allows users to donate straight from the app using a live donation solution. All funds will be shared directly among the artists who performed in that given week. Tips over the Kwesta ‘Big LIVE’ stream will also be donated to #Gig2Earn artists.
