In September, 50 South African musicians created a rearrangement of Jonny Cleggs 1993 song, The Crossing.
The touching act was not only done as a tribute to Jonny, but also to begin the educational fund, Friends of Johnny Clegg.
This, of course, is a great honour for Jonny whose greatest passions is education.
Voices to be heard in the tribute include, Karen Zoid, Freshlygound's lead singer, Zolani Mahola, Emo Adams and even Somizi.
In response to the heartfelt effort, Jonny posted the following tweet to his twitter account, saying "I am speechless thank you so much! This is an amazing moment for me - to have so many of my peers acknowledge the song and its sentiments, and that they can use that to further something much bigger than all of us. Thank you."
