Pop star Joe Jonas is not a fan of public displays of affection. The Cake by the Ocean singer's love life frequently hits headlines, but he prefers not to flaunt his romances in front of others, and instead likes to keep the kissing and cuddling for when he and his girl are alone behind closed doors.Joe tells Women's Health magazine he is "not at all" interested in PDA, although he confesses there may be odd occasions when he breaks his own rule."Look, when you really like somebody, that kind of goes out the window," he explains. "But even around friends and stuff, I think you keep that for the bedroom or behind closed doors.
Especially at the beginning of the relationship, you've got to be cautious of that."Jonas has enjoyed a string of high-profile relationships over the years, with his famous exes including Ashley Greene, Demi Lovato, Gigi Hadid, and Taylor Swift, who he infamously dumped in an abrupt phone call. And while some of the break-ups may have been a little messy, the 27-year-old, who was most recently linked to Brazilian model Daiane Sodre, insists he has firmly moved on from the past."At the end of the day, you have to live your life and not hold grudges," he says.
"Life is too short for that stuff."Instead, Joe has learned to channel his heartbreak into his music or talk over his relationship woes with close friends or family."Usually I go to my brother Nick," he shares. "We just hang out, do some bro (brotherly) hanging, and that helps a lot."One ex Joe has since become good friends with is Demi, who recently toured with his brother Nick. The former co-stars dated briefly in early 2010, months before Demi suffered a very public breakdown while on the road in South America with the Jonas Brothers, but their relationship has since come a long way.Speaking to Billboard magazine earlier this year (16), Joe admitted Demi is the "best version of herself I've ever known", after seeking help for her addiction issues in rehab."She's healthy and that's obviously something a lot of the world knows now, but she's gotten over (the really hard part)," he expanded.
"I know a lot of friends who've gone through similar things and it's when you have to live with your new self for a few years - that comes with a lot of struggle. And being a pop star on top of that, that's a lot of pressure, but she's amazing at speaking truth to what she believes."
