Jodie Foster in Cape Town to shoot Mohamedou Slahi story

After fourteen years of being held in Guantánamo without charge or trial, Mohamedou Ould Slahi was released on October 17th 2016 and reunited with his family in Mauritania. Four years on, the shocking story of his detention and torture at the hands of the US is being turned into a movie.

The film is an adaptation of the New York Times best-selling memoir by Mohamedou Ould Slahi entitled, Guantánamo Diary, which he wrote while he was still imprisoned.

Called Prisoner 760 the cast list is impressive and includes the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Shailene Woodley, Zachary Levi and Tahar Rahim who takes on the challenging role of Mohamedou Ould Slahi.

Forty Nine-year-old Slahi recently took a trip to Cape Town to meet up with the stars of the legal drama in which Jodie will be playing Nancy Hollander, the New Mexico lawyer who successfully argued for his release.

The 57-year-old actress has not been spotted much in Cape Town but she did post this picture on her Instagram page of a selfie taken by Mohamedou.
