It’s Hollywoods biggest night and the stars were out in all their glory in celebration of the 92nd Academy Awards where for the first time in history a non-English language Film won the coveted best picture honour.
The South Korean black comedy thriller Parasite was up against stiff competition in the form of the epic war movie 1917 which many had thought would take the statue home. Parasite also took home the prizes for best director for Bong Joon-ho, best international feature and best original screenplay.
As was predicted by industry insiders, Joaquin Phoenix won best actor for Joker, Renée Zellweger for Judy while best-supporting nods went to Brad Pitt and Laura Dern.
