Jennifer Lopez recruits Marc Anthony for Hillary Clinton campaign concert

Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband Marc Anthony stood united onstage in Florida Saturday (29Oct16) as they helped to rally support for U.S. presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. The Jenny From The Block superstar headlined the Miami leg of the Love Trumps Hate concert series, launched by the Democrat to drum up votes in the lead up to the 8 November (16) election, and despite the rain, Lopez made sure to put on quite the show for attendees. She recruited Marc's new artists, Cuban duo Gente De Zona, to open the free gig with tracks like Bailando and Algo Contigo, while Anthony himself made a surprise appearance to help perform their La Gozadera smash. He then introduced Jennifer to the audience, as he pledged his vote to Clinton.

"I'm here to support two women that I trust my life with, that I trust my children with," he declared. "This is a special time in history."JLo delighted crowdmembers at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater with a hits-packed set, including Waiting for Tonight, Get Right, On the Floor, and Let's Get Loud, a title Clinton used to urge attendees to get out the vote.Joining Jennifer and Anthony onstage, the former Secretary of State said, "We just heard Jennifer perform Let's Get Loud. Well, I say, let's get loud at the voting booth. Vote early."

Clinton also took aim at her Republican rival Donald Trump, calling him out for "stoking fear, disgracing our democracy and insulting one group of Americans after another"."Will we let Donald Trump get away with that?" she asked the crowd, who emphatically yelled "No!" in response.Lopez then stepped up to encourage fans, many of whom were Hispanics, to throw their support behind Clinton.

"Latinos!" she bellowed, before endorsing Clinton as the ideal candidate for the White House: "We are at a crossroads where we have to get it right for the future. We have the perfect person to take us there."Lopez later shared snaps of the show on Instagram, and alongside one picture of herself onstage, wearing a red and white ensemble with a stars-and-stripes belt, she wrote, "Thank you Florida for coming out tonight... it was amazing!! #gohillary #strongertogether #govote #lovetrumpshate #Latinos #letsgetloud #vote".Katy Perry, Jon Bon Jovi, and Jay Z are also taking part in the Love Trumps Hate concert series.
