Jennifer Garner (46) and Ben Affleck (45) announced their separation in 2015, but their divorce case has yet to be finalised.
The pair - who announced their separation after 10 years of marriage and share three kids - were told by the Superior court of Los Angeles that their divorce application will be dismissed if they don’t submit the necessary documents, Business Standard reports.
“If you fail to take the appropriate steps in your case, the court may dismiss your case for delay in prosecution,” court documents stated.
But a source close to the former couple told People magazine the two aren’t in a rush to finalise their divorce.
“There’s no rush here,” the source said.
“They continue to figure out ways of working together as a family and this is what works for them. They’re doing what’s best for their family.”
Jen and Ben have successfully co-parented their children, Violet (12), Seraphina (9) and Samuel (6), following their breakup.
“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children,” Ben told CNN at the time of their separation.
