James Bond actor Roger Moore dies aged 89

London (dpa) – James Bond actor Roger Moore died on Tuesday aged 89, his family said.

“With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today,” his three children said
in a statement via Twitter. “We are all devastated.”

Moore died in Switzerland “after a short but brave battle with cancer,” the statement said.
