James Blunt reveals plight of father waiting for a kidney on NHS

James Blunt has told the Mirror’s Mark Jefferie’s that his father may die waiting for a kidney transplant on the NHS.  His father, Charles Blount, has stage four chronic kidney disease and needs an O positive organ donor.

According to the article, neither James or his sister is a match so all they can do now is wait. As Charles is no longer in his youth he is much further down the list as priority is given to younger patients needing kidney donors.

The multi-grammy nominated and multi-platinum British singer/songwriter is enjoying great success currently with his latest single "Cold," off his just-announced sixth studio album Once Upon A Mind.
