India's space agency ISRO announced via X that its Vikram robotic lander will attempt to land on the moon Wednesday, 23 August. This as Russia announced the destruction of its moon-bound craft.

According to ISRO, India's Vikram robotic lander is expected to touch down a few hundred miles from Russia's targeted site within the lunar south pole.
ISRO said on social media: "Chandrayaan-3 is set to land on the moon on 23 August, around 6.04 pm Indian Standard Time (IST).
