In tribute to the legendary Eric Nobbs

The legendary Afrikaans actor died yesterday afternoon, Sunday 23rd October, at the age of 68 of a suspected heart attack.

His devastated wife Desré said on Facebook, "My soulmate is no more. The bottom fell out of my universe at 14:18. I picked these little roses and wanted to Whatsapp him, now it's too late."

Nobbs was filming the third season of the kykNET Afrikaans comedy series Lui maar op, Belinda at the time of his death.

A prolific actor both on stage and screen, his body of work includes Hansie: A True Story, 2008 as Ewie Cronjé,Black Velvet Band (TV-fliek), 1997 as Vrugteboer,The Legend of the Hidden City (TV-reeks), 1997, Kalahari Harry, 1994 as Kaptein de Vos, Bopha!, 1993 as Polisiekommissaris, Die Prince van Pretoria, 1993 as Jacobus van Rensburg,The Power of One, 1992 as munisipale polisieman #1,The Good Fascist, 1992,Kwagga Strikes Back, 1990 as Doon Robbertse,The Fourth Reich, 1990 as Hennie Schoeman,Windprints, 1990 as 'Platvoet' Du Plessis,The Native Who Caused All the Trouble, 1989 as Kramer,Wie Laaste Lag, 1985 as Pirow Bentley,Boetie Gaan Border Toe!, 1984 as Korp.
