?The name is Bond?.James Bond?. And behind that famous line there have been a select few who have tackled the role of one of movie?s best loved action heros. Daniel Craig has been in the hot seat for a while now but sources say that he has turned down 68 million pounds to carry on playing the iconic Bond in two more movies.
This means the producers are scouting for a replacement. On the shortlist thus far are star Aidan Turner,Fast and Furious actor Luke Evans, and Thor's Tom Huddleston. Michael Fassbender and Charlie Hunnam are also said to be on the list. And, drum roll please, Idris Alba makes it to the list.
It would be entertainment history in the making for a black actor to take on the role. Although Idris, at 43, is somewhat older than the other actors being considered, he looks way younger than his years. However, Barbara Broccoli, the franchise?s producer, has the final vote on who will be cast. Once Barbara decides on whom she wants to direct, the audition process can begin, that is of course if Daniel Craig does not change his mind! 68 million pounds is a lot of money!
My vote is for Idris Alba, I have no doubt that he could pull off the charming and suave spy in the blink of an eye! Who would you choose?
