The hotel has also joined forces with the popular South African pet brand brand Chommies. Taking to Instagram the team at Chommies posted a clip writing : “Dogs have made the guest list at Mount Nelson, and the dress code is Chommies! To celebrate Cape Town’s favourite pink hotel going pet-friendly, we’ve collaborated with the Nellie on a collection inspired by the Belmond Hotel’s signature colour and iconic surroundings".

10% of the proceeds from the Mount Nelson x Chommies collection will go to the Underdog Project, a non-profit organization working with vulnerable children and dogs in the Mother City.
In-room amenities for your beloved pet will include food and water bowls perched on a luxurious cork mat, cushy velvet pillow beds custom-made by Chommies, and a refreshing welcome drink of chilled rooibos tea. Guests can also create new memories with their four-legged friends at Afternoon Tea featuring a dedicated pet menu!
