Never say never! At the age of 57, Hugh Grant, once one of Hollywood’s hottest properties, has tied the knot. It all went down on Friday in a civil ceremony at the Chelsea Registry Office in London. ‘Mrs Grant’ is 39 year old Swedish TV producer, Anna Eberstein, whom Hugh has been dating for six years now. In fact the happy couple already have three children together ranging in age from 5 to a few months.
Grant famously had a long term relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley after which he dated Tinglan Hong, with whom he had a son and a daughter.
Hugh has always been rather outspoken when it comes to his dislike for the institution of marriage so this move has come as something of a surprise to many. Just two years ago he was quoted as saying on the Howard Stern show. “I think there’s something unromantic about marriage, You’re closing yourself off”.
He can currently be seen in the BBC's excellent new series A very English Scandal, where he plays former Liberal Party leader Jeremy Thorpe.
