The Wildcat boys Zac Efron and Lucas Grabeel went to support fellow co-star Corbin Bleu's broadway show Holiday Inn Musical. Effron shared a black and white image of the famous trio, writing, "@mrgrabeel and I saw @corbinbleu DANCE on AIR ala Fred Astaire last night. He tapped "Firecracker" and lit the stage on [fire emoji] with his moves! Check out #HolidayInnMusical #amazingshow #theboysareback."
Grabeel also posted a photo of the boys, telling fans, "Just a couple of wildcats on a #Broadway stage. @corbinbleu killed it last night in #HollidayInnMusical! @ZacEfron So much love for these guys."
Effron was noticeably absent from an HSM reunion that happened at the top of the year. Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Grabeel, Bleu, and Monique Colemanreunited in a Los Angeles high school gym to celebrate the Disney Channel movie's 10-year anniversary, but Efron wasn't able to make it. He did, however, post a precious throwback gem, paying tribute to his High School Musical days, with a caption, " "So grateful I came across this picture... with the o.g. crew during one of the most cherished times of my life. #fbf"
In March, Disney announced fans would be returning to East High for High School Musical 4, to meet new Wildcats and also get to know their rivals, the West High Knights.
"High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA," Disney Channel President Gary Marsh said. "It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth instalment of the 'High School Musical' franchise."
