The countdown has begun to the wedding of the year, let’s re-phrase that, it might very well be the wedding of the decade! Next Saturday, the 19th of May, the smitten couple will exchange vows at 13.00 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle with the Archbishop of Canterbury officiating. After this, a carriage procession will begin at 14:00 from the chapel through Windsor Town returning to Windsor Castle via the Long Walk. The full order of the service will be published on the royal family’s official website on Saturday morning for members of the public. So, which major TV channels are covering this momentous occasion ?
Here is the list thus far :
ITV Choice (DStv 123) will broadcast live, starting at 10:25 and running through to 16:00.
It will also be broadcast live on BBC Lifestyle (DStv 174) and BBC World News (Dstv 400).
BBC Lifestyle will be broadcasting live coverage from 10.15 and ending at approximately 15:30.
Channel 24 will be providing live coverage on their website both ahead of the royal wedding and afterwards.

Rumours are of course flying around as to who designed the dress and which tiara Meghan will choose to wear on the big day. What we can tell you is that the dress, which has been hand stitched, cost around R1.7m and was paid for by the Royal family.
