The nuptials only took place in February of last year and it seemed as if Johnny Depp had finally found his soul mate in Amber Heard. Fast forward to August 2016 and the ink is about to dry on their out of court divorce settlement to officially end their 18 month long marriage.
In a statement Depp and Heard said ,?Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love." This announcement was made following Heard withdrawing her allegations that Depp had abused her, she had in fact instituted a restraining order against Depp. Both the allegations and the restraining order have been withdrawn at Heard?s request, allowing for the finalization of the divorce papers.
The statement also said that Heard would be donating the
financial proceeds from the divorce to charity. The sum being bandied about ? A cool $7 million dollars going the way of Amber Heard according to TMZ website. Considering Depp made $100 million dollars in 2010 alone , he probably won?t even feel it.
The now ?former couple? met on the set of the 2011 film The Rum Diary and their steamy affair began while Depp was still in a relationship with French actress Vanessa Paradis with whom he has a son and a daughter.
At 53 Johnny Depp finds himself single again.
