American singer/songwriter, Halsey, is among many big names to feature on the sophomore soundtrack for the Fifty Shades Darker film.
Halsey took to Instagram to share her first release for 2017, 'Not Afraid Anymore’.
In an interview with DJ Zane Lowe of Beats 1 on Apple Music, Halsey shared how ‘Not Afraid Anymore’ meant a lot to her on a personal and artistic level.
"Fifty Shades Darker is kind of about Anna, the female character, coming into her own on her sexuality and owning it and choosing her freedom and choosing her quality over a life of submission."
"You know that’s very much the M.O. of my project, strong, sexual female mentality so it was almost too easy – I was like how do I do this?"
