Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have reportedly been notified by a Los Angeles court to make a decision on their pending divorce. The pair announced their plans to end their two year marriage in October (15). However, nearly a year later (16), nothing has happened and TMZ.com claim the former couple have been told they must either continue with their divorce or dismiss it and stay husband and wife. The outlet claims to have seen a notice sent to Halle and Olivier by a clerk at the divorce court, which insists they need to make a decision. However, sources close to the pair say that neither Halle nor Olivier are in any rush to become official exes.
A Halle insider allegedly told the outlet she "isn't convinced she wants a divorce" and "still thinks Olivier might change, especially in the anger management department, and if he does she thinks the marriage could work."French actor Olivier has a history of struggling with his temper, and it got him in trouble after he pushed an employee at Los Angeles' LAX Airport with a car seat. Halle and Olivier are parents to two-year-old son Maceo together, while the actress also has eight-year-old daughter Nahla from her relationship with model Gabriel Aubry. Sources also said the pair's "active parenting" of both children, regardless of Olivier not being Nahla's dad, and the fact they are both getting on really well is encouraging them to stay married.
Halle is also apparently keen not to add a third divorce to her marital history, because she "doesn't think it's good for her, or her kids."She was previously married to baseball player David Justice from 1992 to 1997 and to singer-songwriter Eric Benet from 2001 to 2005. WENN has contacted representatives for Halle and Olivier for comment.
