Grammy's 2016 List of Performances

We all know that the best part of any music awards show is the performances by the artist we support. So who will be performaning, and what do they have in store for us?

Here is a list of all the performances as seen on internationalbusinesstimes.com that may include unexpected collaborations and tributes:

COLLABORATIONS

James Bay and Tori Kelly – All of the best new artist nominees have found their way to the Grammy stage for a performance, and these two will team up for their moment in the spotlight. Bay is also nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album.

Justin Bieber and Jack Ü (Diplo and Skrillex) – This trio worked together on the hit track “Where Are Ü Now?” so they’ll likely play the tune during the CBS awards show. The track is nominated in the Best Dance Recording Category.

Andra Day and Ellie Goulding – The first-time nominees will team up for a special duet. Day is nominated for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Album, while Goulding is up for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Pitbull, Travis Barker and Robin Thicke – What are these three doing together? You’ll have to tune in to find out. Pitbull is the only nominated artist this year with a nod in the Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album category.

Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood – The new country star, who is up for Best New Artist, will team up with the American Idol vet for a song.

TRIBUTES

Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt – The trio will play a tribute to B.B. King. While Clark and Raitt have previously been won Grammy Awards, Stapleton is the only one nominated this year. He is up for Album of the Year, Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.

Luke Bryan, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor and Lionel Richie – The singers will team up to honor Richie, who is MusiCares’ Person of the Year. A press release revealed that they’ll “take audiences on a musical journey through [Richie’s] songbook, spanning Commodores-era classics to memorable hits that earned Richie a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1984.”

Eagles with Jackson Browne – The remaining members of the rock band — Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh — will perform with Browne in tribute to their late guitarist Glenn Frey.

Lady Gaga – The “American Horror Story” actress will not sing her Academy Award nominated song, “Till It Happens To You.” She’ll instead sing something by David Bowie, in tribute to the recently deceased rocker.

Hollywood Vampires – Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry teamed up to form this rock group. They’ll perform an original song, “As Bad As I Am,” before rocking out to Motorhead’s “Ace of Spades,” in tribute to the band’s late lead singer, USA Today reports.

OTHER ACTS

Adele – Though her album didn’t come out in time to be nominated for the 2016 Grammys, Adele will still perform at the show.

Alabama Shakes – The band will sing “Don’t Wanna Fight,” the Los Angeles Times reports. They are nominated in four categories, including Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance and Album of the Year.

Joey Alexander – This 12-year-old piano prodigy, who is nominated for Best Jazz Instrumental Album and Best Improvised Jazz Solo, will perform at the Feb. 15 show.

Broadway's “Hamilton” Cast – The opening number from the hip-hop musical about Alexander Hamilton will be broadcast live via satellite from the Richard Rogers Theater in New York City. They’re nominated for Best Musical Theater Album.

Kendrick Lamar – The “To Pimp A Butterfly” rapper is this year’s most nominated artist with 11 nods, so it isn’t really surprising that he’ll hit the stage.

Little Big Town – The country quartet haven’t let details slip about their performance. They’re nominated for two awards, Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Album.

Miguel – The singer will cover Michael Jackson’s “She’s Out of My Life,” the LA Times reports. The song is being highlighted because Spike Lee’s documentary about Jackson’s first solo record premiered Feb. 5 on Showtime.

Rihanna – The singer isn’t nominated this year, but she’ll be promoting her new album, “Anti,” and will likely perform a song from it.

Taylor Swift – The “Out of the Woods” singer is one of the second most-nominated artists, but she hasn't hinted at what she'll sing.

The Weeknd – The “Earned It” singer tied with Swift for the second most-nominated artist, with seven nods. The difference is that this is The Weeknd’s first year being nominated. He hasn’t revealed what his first Grammy performance will include.
