Supermodel Gisele Bündchen is opening up about her personal life in a new memoir.
The memoir, titled “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life” reveals the model's history with mental health.
She has been struggling with suicidal thoughts and panic attacks since 2003, which have resulted in her fearing tunnels, elevators, and confined spaces.
In an interview with People, the 38-year-old said, “I felt like maybe it was time to share some of my vulnerabilities and it made me realize, everything I've lived through, I would never change because I think I am who I am because of those experiences."
She added that she was taking Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication, but does not want to be dependent on it.
She also practices yoga and meditates daily.
In an Instagram post, the model noted that her memoir is meant to help others going through similar experiences and proceeds from it would help the Água Limpa project.
The memoir will be out on October 02.
