Fiona Viotti, the niece of Former Springboks player and coach Nick Mallet has been accused of allegedly having a sexual affair with an 18-year old learner from Bishops College in Cape Town.
Viotti, 30, who recently wed long-term boyfriend last year in September is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with the learner and according to a source, threatened him via WhatsApp when the learner wanted to end things.
Viotti has since left the school with immediate effect and an investigation into the matter is being probed by an attorney hired by Bishops, for what the principal of the school describes as "serious misconduct."
The father of Viotti, and brother to Nick Mallet, Dave Mallet who is also a teacher at the school, penned a letter to the parents of the learners regarding this 'devastating' time. TimesLIVE reported that Dave Mallet sent the following:
“Tough times ahead, no doubt — but I’ll be soldiering on, supporting my family as best I can ... and sticking to my post in Founders House, too.
I’ve just met with the lads to say that, as far as is possible, I need them to keep their heads down (don’t tiptoe around me!) and try to adopt a ‘business as usual’ approach. I can’t let this derail their final term..."
