The much loved actress who portrayed Carol Brady on the ABC sitcom The Brandy Bunch died on Thursday night at a Los Angeles hospital - where she was hospitalised the day before. Henderson died of heart failure.
Her manager, Kayla Pressman confirmed that she died surrounded by family and friends.
With a career spanning over six decades, Henderson started her career in theatre, performing in musicals. She made her Broadway debut in the musical Wish You Were Here in 1952. She also appeared in productions such as Fanny and The Sound of Music. In 1962, she was the first woman to guest host The Tonight Show.
Her more prominent role in her career was Carol Brady in 1969 with The Brady Bunch, which came to an end in 1974.
Her more recent appearances were on Dancing With the Stars in 2010 and the film, Fifty Shades of Black.
