Marshall Mathers also known as Eminem took to his social media celebrating his sobriety with an image of a black coin that was inscribed with a message and it read “One day at a time” and “Unity Service Recovery”.
The Rapper captioned his image “Clean dozen, in the books, I’m not afraid” and I’m not afraid was his leading single in from his album Recovery which was released in 2010.
Eminem has a history of addiction and he has been open about it. In the year 2007, Eminem was hospitalized after a nearly fatal methadone overdose.
In an interview with Vibe, Eminem said that he consumed between 10 and 20 Vicodin daily and he used huge doses of Ambien, Valium and other drugs as well. He added that the numbers got so high that he didn’t even know what he was taking.
