Following their collaboration on Jungle Cruise, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt have an upcoming superhero movie titled “Ball and Chain”.
The film is written by Oscar nominee Emily V. Gordon and it is the adaptation of the 90s comic that has the same name by Scott Lobdell and it is being presented to various studios including Netflix but no concrete distribution deal has been closed ye
The movie follows a married couple who is going through a rough patch in their relationship and they have super powers which only work a 100% when they’re together.
Due to the corona virus pandemic theatres around the world had to close and release dates had to be pushed to new release date same as Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” which was originally set to be released on 24th of July. Instead now it has a new date which is the 30th of July 2021 and that will be the first time we will get to witness the two actors performing as a duo.
