When you live your life under the glare of the media, a tough skin is probably mandatory; criticism will come at you from all sides. And when you are the Duchess of Sussex, you are scrutinised from top to toe wherever you go. On Sunday the Duchess, Meghan Markle ,stepped out with her husband, Prince Harry, to attend his cousin’s wedding in a dress by Oscar de la Renta that cost $7 000….that's roughly a gob smacking R70 000!
There were mixed reviews from royal watchers but there was a thumbs up for Harper’s Bazaar who thought that the outfit was perfect for a summer wedding. However, on social media there were plenty of ‘haters’ of the dress, and many gave the newly titled Duchess a complete roasting for choosing the loose and flowing floral number.
If, after taking a look at the pictures, you fall in love with the dress, it is from Oscar’s 2019 collection and is not available to the general public yet, but will be ready to order in the new year!
