In celebration of the Queen’s official birthday, over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together each June in a spectacular display of military precision and horsemanship in what is commonly known as the trooping of the colours.
The streets are filled with flag waving crowds as the parade makes its way from Buckingham Palace and down The Mall to Horse Guard's Parade alongside members of the Royal family on horseback and in carriages.
This was Duchess Meghan’s first trooping of the colours, and according to many sources she was quite nervous about this first official appearance since returning from honeymoon.
The display closes with an RAF fly-past, watched by the Royal Family from Buckingham Palace balcony, at this point it is most important that all the Royal Family look up!
