Donald Trump baby blimp finds a new resting place

The Trump baby blimp

The huge inflatable Donald Trump baby blimp, which flew over Parliament Square during the US president’s visit to the UK, has found a new home – the Museum of London.

The huge blimp was the imaginative response of a group of Londoners to Trump’s visit to their country in 2018 and a typical example of the nation's love of satire.

The 6m high inflatable depicts the US president wearing a nappy and clutching a mobile phone. It will now form part of the museum’s protest collection.

The Museum of London's director, Sharon Ament, told the BBC that  the museum was "not political and does not have any view about the state of politics in the States", the balloon had simply reflected the British nation’s delight in poking fun at politicians.

Following a global tour it will now be conserved by the museum and could go on display in the future.

Take a look at the baby blimp preparing for take off back in 2018.

Meanwhile the final countdown has begun for Donald Trump and his controversial presidency with Joe Biden's inauguration set to take place Wednesday.
