Star of stage and screen, Dame Joan Collins, escaped unharmed from her central London flat together with her husband Percy Gibson after a "terrifying" fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning.
She was treated by paramedics while the London Fire Brigade attended to the blaze at the seven-storey building on Eaton Place, Belgravia, at 4.30pm on Saturday.
The 85-year-old former star of the TV series Dynasty was quick to praise the emergency services who came to her assistance on social media, she also posted a video on her Instagram account of the devastation caused by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
