Coldplay has celebrated the release of their new album Everyday Life on Twitter while at the same time announcing that they will not be touring the new material due to their joint concerns over the environmental damage of staging gigs across the globe.
They performed a sunrise show live from Jordan this morning and streamed it live on YouTube. They will also be showcasing the album at a one-off charity gig at London's National History which will take place on Monday with all monies raised going to the environmental charity ClientEarth.
Coldplay frontman told BBC News that climate change is a big concern for the group and that they want to work out how putting on a tour can "have a positive impact".
