It was a victory for the pop star last week as a judge ruled that her father Jamie Spears be removed as her conservator after 13 years.
Following the triumphant hearing, Spears did not make any direct reference to the judge's decision but told her 34.3 million Instagram followers that she was "on cloud 9".
She has now directly addressed her fans and the #FreeBritney movement for its work in helping her end the controlling conservatorship of her life and her over R907 million estate.
The global movement has campaigned for years to try and end the conservatorship and a group was present at a Los Angeles court last week when Judge Brenda Penny announced the good news stating that it was in the star's "best interests" and that the legal agreement controlling her finances "reflects a toxic environment".
