Britney Spears: 'Brad Pitt was my first celebrity crush'

Britney Spears is thrilled Brad Pitt is newly single because he was her first celebrity crush.Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the Fury star last month (Sep16) after two years of marriage, and it appears 34-year-old Spears would love the opportunity to date her "dream" man. Britney made the confession during a recent pre-taped appearance on Australia's Today Show, when she was quizzed about her childhood crushes as part of its Question Roulette segment.

She admitted she had the hots for Brad and cheekily quipped, "He's single now!"The singer has been open about her top celebrity crush for years, and in 2003, she grew embarrassed when it was revealed that a picture she took with the 52-year-old actor sat on her nightstand."We shouldn't share that. I'm embarrassed," she told U.S. newswoman Diane Sawyer at the time.

"That's my little thing!"Britney also previously gushed about Pitt following his divorce from Jennifer Aniston in 2005, before his relationship with Angelina was made public.Discussing the Hollywood break-up with her then-husband Kevin Federline on their reality show Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, she said, "We found out that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt broke up. So I have a feeling that he's thinking about me... Just playing.

He probably wouldn't even look my way. I don't care, 'cause we can dream. We can dream!"Despite her undying love for the actor, Britney recently insisted she is "really happy" being single and is not looking for love at the moment."A lot of men are about games," she told U.K. host Jonathan Ross last month (Sep16). "It's just the mind game with guys, the calling back and the texting, it's just too much, it's silly."Britney ended her marriage to Kevin in 2007 and was previously engaged to agent Jason Trawick. The couple split in 2013 and she went on to date David Lucado and producer Charlie Ebersol.
