Bradley Cooper joins friend's wedding at alma mater

Bradley Cooper made an unexpected appearance at a family friend's wedding on Friday (21Oct16) when he ran into the happy couple at his alma mater in Washington, D.C.The Hangover star was paying a visit to Georgetown University when he bumped into some familiar faces, and shared his best wishes for Meaghan and Nicholas Barnicle, whose father is famed political journalist Mike Barnicle. The newlyweds' photographer captured the surprise meeting on camera, and shared one of the snaps on Instagram."Here's a sneak peek from Meg and Nick's private ceremony this past weekend!", the photographer wrote.

"Their friend, Bradley Cooper, was visiting Georgetown and made sure to congratulate the newlyweds as they walked around campus."The groom's proud dad shed a little more light on Cooper's wedding stop on Monday (24Oct16), when he appeared on U.S. news show Morning Joe and gushed about their celebrity guest.

Sharing a picture of the actor with his son and new daughter-in-law, Mike quipped, "That was in Georgetown right before the wedding with Bradley Cooper, who caught the bouquet."It's not clear what Bradley was doing back in Georgetown, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1997, but on Saturday (22Oct16), he headed to New York to support his new pal Lady Gaga as she performed on U.S. comedy show Saturday Night Live.

"LOOK who showed up to watch me perform! what a guy," the pop superstar captioned a shot of the pair on Instagram. "Talkin' creative and enjoying some backstage fun."Expressing her joy at working with Cooper on his directorial debut, a remake of A Star Is Born, she added, "Were so excited for our (movie)! (sic) A STAR IS BORN".
