On November 18, 2020, Los Angeles police officers responded to a call about a medical emergency to find Bobby Brown’s son lying on the floor of his home– he was pronounced dead at the scene.
No foul play was suspected but a coroner’s investigation was ordered. The Los Angeles County Medical examiner’s office released these results Monday and has ruled that Bobby Brown Jr died as a result of drug and alcohol toxicity.
In a report obtained by ET, his death was said to have been caused by the "combined effects of alcohol, cocaine, and fentanyl," ruling his death accidental.
Brown Jr was one of seven of Brown’s children. He was an aspiring singer and had just released his first music single Say Something in September of 2020.
His death is yet another tragedy in the life of his father, Bobby Brown - his ex-wife, super-star singer Whitney Houston died in 2012 when she was found unresponsive in a Beverly Hills hotel bath. Her death was ruled accidental drowning brought on by heart disease and her long-time abuse of cocaine. Three years later his daughter with Houston, Bobbi Kristina, died at the age of 22 - she was found face down and unconscious in the bathtub of her Georgia home. After being in a coma for nearly six months, Brown died from Lobar pneumonia. Although her boyfriend Nick Gordon was never charged in the case, he was later found responsible in a wrongful death lawsuit and ordered to pay 36 million dollars to her estate.
