Black Coffee keeps on rising up...
In an interview with Dj Sbu, Black Coffee revealed he would be working with American Rnb singer John Legend.
Drake’s remix has been so overwhelming and I am now going to be working on a remix with John Legend
The Drake remix, "Get Together" was recently added to Beyoncé's "IV EVER EVER" playlist of her favourite songs on TIDAL.
He was also approached by Usher to do a collaboration, who then said the Dj's music wasn't 'African' enough. Black Coffee stated:
"I don't know what Africa is to him but Africa to me is something different, we not in the jungle right now. You know Africa is different. Africa is totally different place. For other people they still wanna hear the bongo (drums) and the congas (drums) on music, and I am cool to do that but only if it fits."
Usher had since changed his mind and reached out to Black Coffee about a collaboration.
"Ushers manager actually came back to me yesterday and Usher likes the song (that I submitted to him). We will be collaborating."
