It’s making news across social media channels, Beyoncé’s jaw dropping, history making appearance as the first black woman to headline the annual Coachella music festival in the USA.
She was due to perform at the festival last year but was forced to cancel her appearance upon discovering that she was pregnant with her twins. Lady Gaga stepped in to take her place but this year the stage was all hers. If the pictures are anything to go by it was worth the wait, she appeared on stage accompanied by a full piece marching band, dancers, special guests Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child and Solange. The costumes were nothing short of jaw dropping.
She opened the show by saying, “Y'all ready Coachella? Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline,”.
The music and arts Festival is an annual event held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, which is in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. The polo club leases out its polo grounds for the music festival annually.
