The TV doctor who brought the world intermittent fasting and the 5.2 diet, will be paid tribute to by the BBC  when the broadcaster airs his last interview on Friday the 14 June as a part of the There’s Only One Michael Mosley show.

BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds will air There’s Only One Michael Mosley on Friday at 11 am, containing the last interview the late TV Doctor conducted.

Mosley recorded a special edition of Just One Thing, where he regularly revealed tips to help improve one’s health at Britan’s Hay Festival on 25 May with Professor Paul Bloom.

The BBC is also planning a documentary in memory of the TV presenter and columnist titled Michael Mosley – The Doctor Who Changed Britian : it will take a look at his almost four decades of broadcasting.

The corporation said: “His programmes have made a lasting impact on the nation’s health habits from intermittent fasting to the benefits of a cold shower.

“Michael also shared his own struggles with audiences worldwide; as a chronic insomniac he made programmes about sleep and, ever curious, he would also go to extremes in the pursuit of science, even infecting himself with a tapeworm.”

Dr Mosley’s body was discovered in a rocky area close to Agia Marina beach on Sunday following a major five-day search on the Greek island of Symi after he was reported missing by his wife when he did not return from a hike in soaring temperatures last Wednesday.

The 67-year-old doctor was last seen leaving Saint  Nikolas Beach at around 1.30pm to tackle the rugged terrain. He was without a mobile phone.

It has since been reported that he died of natural causes.

Mosley is credited with changing the way Britain eats. One of his most popular publication is  a life changing book called Just One Thing.

Tributes have poured in for the loveable and down-to-earth Mosley with some calling for him to be posthumously knighted for his contribution to the health of the British people.

May you RIP Dr Michael Mosley.
