It's been on again, off again, but now Sony has confirmed that the Bad Boys 3 movie, titled Bad Boys for Life will be released in 2020.
This exciting news was confirmed by Variety that reported “a new draft of a script appears to have met with the producers’ approval and it looks as though production on the sequel could begin in early 2019.”
Bad Boys first became a favourite in 1995 when it was released and raked in 141.4 million dollars.
Following the first film, Bad Boys II was released 8 years later raking in 273.3 million dollars.
15 year's later, another film may be released and according to Brent Lang and Justin Kroll from Variety, Columbia Pictures president Sanford Panitch had the following to say, “If we’re going to make another ‘Bad Boys’ after 15 years, it’s got to be next-level great.”
The good news is that even though Will Smith has just turned 50 years old and Martin Lawrence is 53 years old, the two actors will return to reprise their roles as Detective Sergeant Mike Lowrey and Detective Sergeant Marcus Burnett.
